Animals are still being used for testing worldwide. Today, so many amazing brands are taking a stand against animal testing and even fighting to end animal cruelty. Animals are not ours to restrain and use for the purpose of testing our beauty products on. Some may not think it sounds as bad as it is, however, our cute furry friends are restrained for the experimenters to rub chemicals on their shaved skin, eyes, noses and mouths without any pain relief.
The types of animals used for testing commonly include; mice, fish, rats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, farm animals, birds, cats, dogs, mini-pigs, and non-human primates (monkeys, and in some countries, chimpanzees). All of these animals feel the physical and MENTAL pain during testing and are left without any type of pain reliever after the experiments.
Beginning in 2013 some countries have finally banned animal testing, including the EU, Norway, Israel, and India. In some countries, such as China, it is still required by law.
